I designed this rug with our home in mind. We live in an old (1929) stone house with a red metal roof. It sits on almost 2 acres of trees in an older part of our town. We have various wildlife that visit us, and we just love living in our "old stone cottage!"

And I love your rendition of it, too!! It's really a cute rug, Dulcy!!
Dulcy, I love your signature sun you're putting in your original pieces.
And our house was built in 1929 too! It's made of stucco. They both probably only have the rocks/stucco for insulation but they look cool!
I know you said at one time that you weren't happy with the way this rug was turning out, Dulcy, but I think it's enchanting! Even though you haven't shown a picture of it for a long time, I'm still drawn to it. And I love the scalloped edge you finished this rug with!
This is simply a beautiful, happy rug! You should be very proud of it.
It's finished and it is marvelous! Really wonderful. This is a perfect picture of the way that your cottage feels to me. Wonderful! And, I do love the scalloped edge.
Dulcy, this is a wonderful piece, so charming.
Gorgeous, Dulcy!!!!!
Love your rug! Such a great little cottage and it does "feel Happy"!
Loved visiting your blog!

I love this rug -- if you ever get tired of it, send it on over. It reminds me of Hansel & Gretel. Jan
