Ring Around Our Rosie

Our little Rosie left us May 12th, and now resides in her own little spot back by the pond.  She had been ill, and had many issues that caused her discomfort.  I hooked this pillow to keep on the bench where she spent about 98% of her time.  Losing our pets, as you all know, is just so horribly sad.  She led a very lovely little quiet kitty life.  I don't know how old she was (probably about 14 yrs.) because we found her high up nesting in our grape arbor at our previous home many years ago.  She was quite a pretty little girl, dainty, and always had the very best of manners.  We miss her a lot right now, but are comforted knowing she is with us in our thoughts and memories...  Also in the backyard..... Thanks to my friends that helped me with some tough decisions, especially my dear friend Katie who gave me some wonderful words on grace and happiness.

I'm so sorry about your Rosie. What would we do without Katie in tough times. Your pillow is wonderful & as long as that pillow survives, Rosie's memory does. Have a good week. Jan

Dulcy,
What a sweet remembrance piece...and I love that you will be putting it on her spot on the bench....I know that the next time I come to visit it just won't be the same without sweet little Rosie in her spot.

That's a beautiful pillow and a lovely way to remember her. I don't think it's ever easy to say goodbye to a pet - even when they are sick and you know it's time for them to go - it's just never easy.

My heart goes out to you on the loss of Rosie. I lost one of my horses and still grieve. What a wonderful way to honor Rosie's memory with that beautiful pillow for her favorite spot.

Peace and happiness,

I have this for you. I love you!

They say that in the moment of your death, you see your entire life...
Yes, my first thoughts go to my cat...
I smile sadly, tenderly, because, seen from death, our close relations with our domestic animals no longer seem to be something minor to be taken for granted, given their every day nature; ten years of a lifetime have crystallized in Leo, and I take the measure of how the ridiculous, superfluous cats who wander through our lives with all the placidity and indifference of an imbecile are in fact the guardians of life's good and joyful moments, and of its happy web...

Dulcy ~
The pillow turned out beautifully! Rosie would so approve (although Willow would beat her to it). I love your description of Rosie, "dainty ways" just sums it up. I just love the way you value animal's lives! You certainly have opened my eyes up to view more of the nature surounding us! I am so grateful for you!

The fringe on the pillows edge is so divine ~ perfect for it! Hope to see you soon my dear ~ love you,
